The Morgan Hill community is proudly invited to join in the celebration of veterans for the Veterans Day Run on Nov. 12. The event will take place at the Community Development Center on Peak Avenue, with a new route that includes the alleyways of West Morgan Hill and part of the new Hale Avenue extension. Participants can choose from a children’s 1-mile, 5K, or 10K run, set to start at 9:30 a.m. Registration is open online, so don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity to support nonprofit organizations that give back to veterans. The Veterans Run was founded ten years ago to support local veterans’ organizations financially.

The event allows participants to learn about some of these organizations, including Operation Freedom Paws, South Bay Blue Star Moms, DreamPower Horsemanship, Morgan Hill Freedom Fest, and RWB (Red, White, and Blue). These organizations have dedicated missions to benefit veterans – from providing service dogs to offering equine-facilitated psychotherapy and social activities. Participants of the Veterans Run are encouraged to take a moment and recognize the service of those who have sacrificed for our country.

Grand Tasting and VIP Experiences

At the Vine-to-Wine event, guests can choose between two experiences that best suit their preferences. The Grand Tasting allows guests to sample award-winning wines from more than 20 wineries, while the VIP experience, led by Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein, features six reserve wines. Gourmet bites prepared by Cochi’s Catering will also be available at both experiences.
